This is the biography of the man who made possible the Taizé community and one of the best-loved Christian leaders of our time. The author interviewed Brother Roger on a number of occasions and we hear the personal experiences of a life called to service including his founding of the Council of Youth, his travels among some of the world's poorest communities and his collaborations with Mother Teresa. In 2005 Brother Roger was tragically attacked and killed while praying with over 2000 young people in the Taizé community - but his legacy in establishing a community based on peace and reconciliation will surely never be forgotten.
